Dance Nigeria Terms and Conditions for  Participants

1. Eligibility
  • The competition is open to individuals or groups aged 18 years and above, regardless of nationality or gender.
  • Participants must be residents of Nigeria.
  • Registration can be done individually or as a group, in three categories: Single, Duo, or Multiple.
2. Registration
  • Registration is free!!
  • Participants must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
  • A valid means of identification must be provided by each participant.
3. Competition Rules
  • Participants must adhere strictly to the competition rules and guidelines as outlined by Dance Nigeria.
  • Decisions made by the judges are final and cannot be contested.
4. Intellectual Property
  • Participants grant Dance Nigeria permission to use performance footage, photos, submissions, and likenesses in promotional and related materials.
  • All materials provided by Dance Nigeria during the competition are for the purpose of the event and must not be used for any illegal activities.
5. Data Protection
  • By participating, individuals consent to Dance Nigeria collecting, storing, and using personal data as needed for the event, without additional notification.
6. Liabilities Waiver
  • Participants assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages incurred during the competition.
  • Participants are responsible for any personal losses.
  • Participants cover their own expenses related to the competition.
7. Cancellation
  • Dance Nigeria reserves the right to cancel or postpone any competition or event without prior notice.
8. Disqualification
  • Participants will be disqualified for violating competition rules.
  • Disqualification also applies to cheating, stealing, falsification of information, use of inappropriate language, or any violent or disruptive behavior.
9. Prize
  • Winners in each category will be eligible for  different  prizes.
  • The prize is non-transferable.
10. Acceptance
  • By participating, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dance Nigeria from any legal claims arising from their participation.
  • By submitting their registration, participants agree to all terms and conditions outlined herein.
11. Jurisdiction
  • Any disputes arising from the competition will be resolved through arbitration or court proceedings, following the laws of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
12. Governing Law
  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended by the 1999 Constitution.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN UDO ADVANCED CATEGORY
Prepare (2) Routines (Tag each Round 1 &2), you can also choose to use one routine for both putting the following into consideration:

1. MUSICALITY: Your preferred mix of songs and beat.

2. RECORGNIZED DANCE STYLE by UDO: Waacking, Popping, Breaking, Litefeet, Hiphop, Locking, House, Afro, Krump, Voogue and Dance hall.

3. DURATION: Each round should be 59secs Minimum and 1:30sec maximum.

4. COSTUME: Each team can choose to repeat same costume for each round or use a different costume.

5. TEAM: SOLO (1 Person), DUO- QURDS (2-4 persons), TEAM (5-15 persons). Each of these categories are judged and rewarded separately.

6. AGE LIMIT: All participants must be 18 years and above.
Prospective winners in each category must ensure to have international passport as they are expected to represent Nigeria in UNITED KINGDOM (Cardiff Wales).

7. VIDEO RECORDING: Video recording of routine must be a straight shoot without cuts and edits.(Single take)Begin your video with a 5-10 seconds introduction of yourself or your team and your location.All Videos must be shot in LANDSCAPE and exported in 4k.

8. SUBMISSION PROCESS
Upload your recorded video(s) into Google drive and send the Google link of the video using your team name as title to our Email Address. udodancenigeria@gmail.com
